2025 Application

Our Environmental Studies Academy is going to happen and start the week of October 12th and finish by June 1st.  We would love to have you sign up and have an amazing internship experience with a new business, more college credits, more scholarship opportunities, and career exposure.

The Academy is an after school program that pairs Ottawa Area high school students (9th-12th) with local businesses and community organizations to provide innovative solutions to challenges in sustainability and environmental science. Students completing the program will have the opportunity to earn three (3) college credits to help build their portfolio. In addition, college scholarships will be awarded to top performing students at the end of the program. Space is limited, so apply quickly to ensure you get a spot! This is a real internship for you to put on your resume.  The program is after school and meetings are set by the lead educator in each school. The majority of meetings will be held at school.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply here or emailngitler@oaisd.org with additional questions.

There is a $25 course fee to participate (This funds the scholarships!). Financial assistance is available for qualifying families. To inquire contact ngitler@oaisd.org before starting the application.
